BIO

MioKasai spent her childhood in the United States, where she began tap/hip-hop dance and other forms of physical expression.
As Mio grew older, she became aware of her synesthesia, and began painting out of a desire to see the visual colors associated with the sounds of her favorite bands.

In this days when mechanization is progressing in every aspect, Mio focuses on using her innate senses, translating sounds, emotions and thoughts to the color in her works.
The strokes in her works show that the physical expressions she has been using since childhood are also reflected in her paintings.

Based on the idea that humans are natural things and facing the universal questions that arise in the life of human beings, she express the relationship between people and modern society and "life" in a visible way, mainly in oil painting.
